This e-learning module will describe the purpose and key elements of Marquette’s Safety Management System (SMS). It will begin explaining what a safety management system (SMS) is and why Marquette has decided to develop one. This course will also cover how the SMS applies to Captains/Pilots. Finally, most of the module will be spent going chapter by chapter through the Vessel Operations Manual (VOM) describing key elements of each section.
